Board Certified Anesthesiologist

Dr. Dillon Atwood is one of two Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologists in North Carolina, and is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.  He studied at Davidson College and attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry before completing his postgraduate training in Anesthesiology at Lutheran Medical Center in New York City.  During that time, he practiced pediatric anesthesia in Arizona and special care anesthesia at Helen Hayes Hospital in New York.

Dr. Braxton M. Henderson is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. This credentialing is the highest level of anesthesia training that can be achieved in dentistry.

Dr. Henderson is a native of Covington, TN, a small town north of Memphis. Having spent many years living in Memphis and Covington, respectfully, he became familiar with the nuances of both city and small-town living. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Biological Sciences.

Dr. Benjamin Pritts is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. This credentialing is the highest level of anesthesia training that can be achieved in dentistry.

Dr. Benjamin Pritts grew up in rural southwestern Pennsylvania where he began working at his family’s feed mill business and small farm at a young age. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Neuroscience.

These doctors are highly respected by both their professional peers and patients, Dr. Atwood, Dr. Henderson and Dr. Pritts are the selected on-call Anesthesiologists at NC Prosthodontic Specialists – Dentures, Implants & Crowns, providing in-office general anesthesia and sedation services to our patients.  This specialized service helps us to provide any level of anesthetic care that our patients need, while putting patient safety and comfort first.
